Today, I took in a double-feature thanks to rewards I earned from my AMC Stubs card.

First up, I took in The Incredible Burt Wonderstone (2013), starring  and , directed by .

Life-long friends and magic show partners find themselves on the downside of their career, challenged by a the the new an trendy street magic. Stress has driven a wedge in their performance and friendship. Can they pull off the greatest magic trick ever seen to regain the spotlight and mend their friendship?

The Incredible Burt Wonderstone was very entertaining with lots of funny subtitles. While not the best, Carell, Carrey or Arkin movie, Burt Wonderstone is worth a watch for anyone who is a fan of the type of comedy synonymous with Jim Carrey.

The film’s theme is nothing new, but I don’t remember this type of comedy being packaged with magic.

Recommendation: If this type of comedy is “your thing,” take in a matinee, otherwise, The Incredible Burt Wonderstone isworth a watch once it hits Redbox or Netfilx when you’re in the mood for a lighthearted comedy that doesn’t require too much thought.
