The Fantastic Flying Books of Mr. Morris Lessmore is easily my favorite Oscar nominated short animated film. You can watch the entire film right here at the top of this post. I can’t even express how happy I am that the creators made the film available to watch for free online. I have immensely enjoyed sharing it with friends and family.

Inspired, in equal measures, by Hurricane Katrina, Buster Keaton, The Wizard of Oz, and a love for books, The Fantastic Flying Books of Mr. Morris Lessmore is a poignant, humorous allegory about the curative powers of story.
