I enjoy spoof movies, but I also understand that none are “good” movies.
Robin Hood: Men in Tights is a movie that I may or may not watch when I come across it while flipping through channels (my perfect description of a 3/5 rating). Part funny. Part annoying.
It rather annoys me when film critics get snobby when reviewing spoofs… They’re meant to be silly and fun, and the filmmakers KNOW they’re not great movies. I wouldn’t be surprised if Mel Brooks, himself, agreed with me.
