Piranha: Wolf in the Water (1999) Documentary – Not exactly a “horror” movie, but this is the definitive documentary about one of the most ferocious species of fish.
Encompassing the entire life-cylcle of the piranha, watch as piranhas devour fish, vultures, capybara, cattle and even each other.
I have always had a fascination with the piranha, owning multiple species at one time. I love this documentary because there’s nothing else like it covering piranhas. Only this documentary, a History Channel special and one book (The Piranha Book, 1972, George Myers) have been made/written about piranhas in the wild. The Piranha Book is much more in-depth, covering multiple species across multiple continents, but Wolf in the Water does a great job giving an in-depth account of the most widely known, Red-bellied Piranha.
