Well, today was a pretty bad day. Totaled my car…

So, I lied, I will not have watched all of the Underworld movies by the end of the weekend… Sorry, if you were waiting in anticipation…

I nearly ran out of time to watch a movie today to continue on the journey to watch a movie a day in 2012, but don’t worry, I have  a small stockpile of movies that are right around an hour long, for days just like today. Not to mention, a fun and uplifting movie is just what I needed.

Dumbo is the first animated film in my 2012: A Movie a Day series and the shortest, at only 64 minutes. In case you’re wondering, a movie must only be 40 minutes to be considered a feature film. If you know of any great movies that are around an hour or less, let me know in the comments below.

If you haven’t seen Dumbo, you probably had a bad childhood… Sorry to bring up bad memories, that just means you must go see it when it is re-released in theaters in 3D. Although there has not actually been an announcement, Disney seems to be headed in the direction of remaking all their classics in 3D.

If you’ve seen Dumbo, you learned four things: 1) Babies come from storks. 2) Female elephants are complete f-in’ bitches. 3) Elephants are, in fact, afraid of mice. 4) It’s the differences in all of us that make us unique and special… Unless, of course, you follow the Tyler Durden philosophy of life.

If you haven’t seen Dumbo, I highly recommend it. Not only is it a great depiction of the times, by a fun movie as well.

Dumbo has a 7.4/10 rating on IMDB, is 97% fresh on Rotten Tomatoes, but, shockingly, only liked by 65% of viewers?! Maybe it’s because a child get drunk and hallucinates?
