From the opening scene, Drive is filled with drama and suspense. Drive is nominated for an Academy Award for Sound Editing, and is well deserving of the nomination. The audio keeps you in a tense on-the-edge of your seat mind-set until the end.

Directed by Nicolas Winding Refn with the screenplay written by Hossein Amini, based off the 2005 novel by James Sallis and starring Ryan Gosling, I have yet to hear anyone give Drive a bad review, and I doubt I will.

Fans of “Breaking Bad“, “Sons of Anarchy” and “Mad Men” will be happy to see Bryan CranstonRon Perlman and Christina Hendricks, respectively, on the big screen.

I have now watched all the movies nominated for best Sound Editing. If Drive doesn’t win, it is a shame. The movie is fantastic, and the sound is definitely the star.

RECOMMENDATION

Drive is absolutely amazing! Style, violence and a real-life non-CGIed car chase!

Drive has a 8.0/10 rating on IMDB, is 93% fresh on Rotten Tomatoes and has a 76/100 Metascore.
