Bad Lieutenant, directed by Abel Ferrara is the NC17 story of a cop that really likes to do drugs, gamble and shoot his gun in random places who catches two perpetrators that raped a nun, then lets them go.

Bad Lieutenant is essentially a random series of scenes with “The Lieutenant” taking/doing every type of drug imaginable, hanging dong, masturbating while making a teenage girl simulate fellatio and losing while gambling large sums of money on the National League Championship Series.

This movie was re-imagined and re-made in 2009 as The Bad Lieutenant: Port of Call – New Orleans, starring Nicolas Cage as “The Lieutenant,” with Eva Mendes, Val Kilmer and Xzibit. The remake sucks as well, but is MUCH more entertaining, which was surprising to me.

RECOMMENDATION

Skip this movie, unless you want to see Harvey Keitel hang dong while crying and laughing at the same time.

Bad Lieutenant has a 6.9/10 rating on IMDB, is 76% fresh on Rotten Tomatoes and has a Metascore of 67/100. Every one of these scores is too high.
